Holy Wars Kill But Never Die

A chesslike game, with achievements and a save system.  This is a PICO-8 game.  If you are playing in browser, use the arrow keys and Z/X to play.  Or download the .p8.png file to play on the PICO-8 itself.

Achievements and unlocks are awarded at the end of the war. Either win the war, or lose without continuing to see what is new.

Saves are persistent in the desktop versions (Windows, Linux, macOS). In the browser version, they will survive a reset, but may not survive closing and reopening the page.

Version 1.1 addresses some concerns people raised during the jam rating period. The initially uploaded version remains downloadable.
